Nominating/Membership Team
The Nominating/Membership Team is responsible for and its duties encompass the nomination of officers for the annual Foundation Board meeting and the nomination of individuals for membership on the Foundation Board. Nominations for board membership result from investigation of individuals proposed by current board members and judgment of the team. The team will provide ongoing training and development for all members. The team will determine the right amount of board members to have on the Foundation Board and aim to keep the Foundation Board size at this amount.

Finance Team
The Finance Team is responsible for the fiscal growth and viability. It works with Foundation Board treasurer to oversee the financial records of the Foundation. The team oversees the preparation of the annual budget. It makes recommendations on funding requests not included in the annual budget and recommends financial policies and procedures covering the various funds controlled by the Foundation. The team works with the investment advisor of CGCC Foundation. It also may review audits.

Fund-raising Team
The Fund-raising Team is responsible for organizing and overseeing the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. To meet this mission, the team undertakes a number of fundraising initiatives including a community-wide annual campaign and special events. The team also develops long-term fundraising prospects by developing and offering planned giving opportunities for those who support CGCC, and it plans and executes major gifts and capital campaigns.

Marketing Team
The Marketing Team is responsible for and its duties encompass all aspects of community college dialogue. The purpose of this team is to broaden and nurture the visibility of CGCC Foundation in the various communities in the area. The team is responsible for the development and execution of a marketing program covering all aspects of the Foundation, including but not limited to annual campaign, planned giving and special events. The team encourages the college administration to strive to stay in tune with the needs of the people of the college area. The team also assists with Compass Club organization and implementation.

Scholarships Team
The Scholarships Team is responsible for the recommendation of policies and the implementation and evaluation of procedures governing scholarships to be provided by the Foundation for the support of CGCC’s students, faculty and staff and programs. It reviews and approves scholarships. The team presents scholarship awards at ceremonies. And, the team organizes an annual scholarship social night to recognize recipients and donors who are a part of the program.
